Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 27, 2026 · light-queue.vercel.app

This Privacy Policy describes how Light Sniper ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our website, account features, and the Light Sniper browser extension (together, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

  • Account data. If you create an account, we collect the information you provide (such as email address and username) and authentication identifiers managed by our auth provider (Firebase Authentication).
  • License and billing-related data. We store license records associated with your account (for example license identifiers, license keys or activation credentials, link status to a device, timestamps such as creation or last connection, and administrative fields needed to operate the Service).
  • Device binding (extension). To limit license sharing, the extension may generate and store a device identifier locally in your browser and send that identifier to our backend to verify whether your license is authorized for that device.
  • Technical data. Like most web services, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, user agent, and request metadata) when you use the website or when the extension communicates with our backend.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and secure the Service
  • Create and manage accounts and licenses
  • Verify activation, prevent abuse, and enforce license limits
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service-related notices
  • Comply with law and protect our rights

3. Discord and the extension

The extension runs on Discord pages you open in your browser. It is designed to interact with the page locally (for example by automating UI actions you could perform yourself). We do not need you to provide your Discord password to us. We do not claim ownership of Discord content, and your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's terms and policies.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies and local storage as part of normal authentication and session functionality. The extension uses browser storage to save settings and device-related values needed for activation.

5. Service providers

We use third-party infrastructure to run the Service. For example, we may use Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) and hosting providers such as Vercel. Those providers process data on our behalf according to their terms and privacy policies.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you want to request deletion of account data, contact us using the information below. Some records may be retained where required by law or legitimate business needs (for example security logs or fraud prevention).

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International users

If you access the Service from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection rules.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests (including data access or deletion where applicable), contact us through the support options on our website.
